About FAITH
FAITH projects a multifaith vision, but creates peace-building programs with local partners, in a network of institutions and interfaith centers.
The interfaith connections are particularly strong in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Israel and Russia. In the near future FAITH looks to expand its network of programs through institutions in Poland, Italy, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, and Dubai. .
FAITH uses its network of individuals, institutions, and interfaith centers to establish best practices in interfaith dialogue and action. FAITH facilitates collaboration among existing institutions. FAITH raises financial resources to enhance the quality of all within its network.
Mission
FAITH will:
- Build partnerships of religious organizations on local and national levels through education, understanding.
- Facilitate cooperation among multifaith leaders to address humanitarian issues that benefit society.
- Combat increasing levels of religious prejudice - antisemitism/hatred of Jews, anti-christianity, Islamophobia and other forms of faith-based bigotry.
- Develop and implement groundbreaking projects to address systemic bigotry among religious traditions
- Promote and share essential news and information about multifaith and interfaith statements and events
- Cooperate with fellow interfaith organizations to sponsor dialogues and workshops
- Create programs in the Arts which promote interfaith understanding and build peace.
Our 501(c)(3)
FAITH functions through two sibling charitable foundations of the same name. FAITH US was established in 1995 as a 501(c)(3), which the IRS has designated a "Public Charity." In 2010 the UK Charity Commission designated FAITH in the UK as Registered Charity Number 1138237.
Contributions to FAITH in the US are deductible for Federal income tax purposes under Section 170(b) of the Internal Revenue Code. The IRS EIN is 133846040. In accordance with current IRS requirements for charitable contributions, FAITH acknowledges that no goods or services may be provided in consideration of a charitable gift.
